I was supposed to be shooting a back to back to back weddings in New York last June, but because of Covid I ended up staying in Washington for the majority of the summer. When my best friend Lindsay asked me if I wanted to second shoot this wedding with her in the San Juan Islands how could I resist a ferry ride and an adventure. Lexie and Troy rented this jaw dropping AirBnB to get ready and have the ceremony at with their closest family and friends. Then we jumped in the car and headed to Lime Kiln Point State Park, an orca-whale lookout and thats when the rain hit.

2020 was a weird year in the wedding Industry. I photographed a fraction of the weddings I was supposed to and almost everything was postponed. Its funny though because of all the downsizing of weddings and restrictions I fell more in love with these small and intimate elopement styled weddings. There is just so much to love about these micro weddings, everything just feels so much personal.

Anyways here’s a dreamy and rainy intimate wedding on the coast where we actually spotted orcas at the end.
